What documents are required for importing goods into Panama?
Typically, you’ll need a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and relevant permits (depending on the product). Our customs brokers guide you through the process to ensure compliance.
Can KLC handle small shipments or do I need a full container?
Yes! We handle both LCL (less-than-container load) and FCL (full container load) shipments. We ship large pallets and barrels as well as full containers. We however do not ship single freight parcels.
Do I have to pay taxes or duties for transshipment cargo?
No. Thanks to the Colón Free Zone, cargo transshipped through Panama is exempt from customs duties and taxes, which helps lower your overall costs.
